Ekoscope

The Ekoscope is a multi-patented, FDA approved portable medical instrument, with built-in electronic stethoscope operation, having a Bell Mode, Diaphragm Mode and a new Diaphragm Plus (TM) mode for mechanical heart auscultation. The device also features a novel removable headset, which can be interchanged with numerous other instruments in the future, such as a fetal doppler transducer.

The Ekoscope's EKG built-in technology has adapted Dr. Willem Einthoven Nobel Prize winning fundamental principles: "Einthoven triangle", to detect electrical signal from the chest wall, hands and legs without the use of cable wires ("wireless" technology). The Ekoscope also has an ingeniously concealed micro USB port, to recharge its battery and download or upload files/data to another device or network.

There are 8 built-in EKG electrodes, fabricated from a compound copper substrate, then specially treated with silver chloride to improve conductivity. The hard surfaces of the device are molded from ABS reinforced with aluminum; and the flexible parts are derived from a blend of (DEHP free) polyvinyl chloride for durability, smoothness and flexibility.

The earpiece is specially design with a circumferential "collapsable" ridge that causes the distal end to mold over the opening of the ear canal, thereby attenuating ambient noises to an appreciable degree. Further the device can detect heart sounds in three modes: Bell, Diaphragm and a new, Diaphragm Plus^tm mode.

For the first time in history, a 6 lead EKG machine is built into a stethoscope device, seamlessly. Medical practitioners will be able to assess a patient's vital organs, (beyond listening to sounds) with an electronic stethoscope; but now being able to diagnose cardiac arrhythmias visually as well, with our FDA approved Ekoscope: bradycardias, 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees A-V blocks; APCs, PVCs, PEAs, SVT, VT, VFib, Atrial Fibrillation etc. More details about a patient's vital organs mean a faster and clearer diagnosis - beyond heart sounds alone! In a rapidly evolving future healthcare system, the Ekoscope and associated portable technologies (wireless BP, glucometer & Sp02), will prove to be valuable tools beyond measure as a comprehensive diagnostic kit.
